Pioppino has a distinct nutty flavor very much like wild foraged mushrooms. It goes extremely well with all kind of pasta or, mixed with other mushrooms, in a vegetarian gúllas.
Like other mushrooms, the pioppino is low in cholesterol and fat and high in fiber, adding flavor and texture without negative impact. It’s also considered to be a good source of proteins, with all the essential amino acids.
